What age can children start nursery?
There is no single right age. Many families start nursery when parental leave ends, often between 9 and 12 months, while others wait until 2 or 3. At Wibli Wobli we care for children from 3 months up to 12 years, so you can start whenever it suits your family.
Signs your child is ready
Readiness matters more than a birthday. Children who are curious about other children, can settle with a familiar adult nearby and are building a simple routine usually adapt quickly. Our settling-in sessions let your child get to know their key worker gradually before their first full day.
How funding changes with age in Wales
In Wales, Flying Start may fund part-time places for 2 year olds in eligible postcodes, and the Childcare Offer for Wales supports working parents of 3 and 4 year olds from the term after their third birthday.
